Sam Binga And Breakage Go Head To Head For An Epic Single On Critical Music

Posted by Adam on 11th July 2016

Sam Binga and Breakage are 2 of the most exciting producers in not only Drum & Bass but also the wider spectrum of Electronic Music; you’ve only to to look at Sam Binga’s album Wasted Days and Breakage’s When The Night Comes to see the incredible music they can create. They flirt with the genre whilst pulling in influences from anywhere and everywhere they please.

So, how do you utilise these talents? Well you turn them onto each other’s tunes, of course.

First off Breakage gets his hands on Sam Binga’s track Mind & Spirit, which was taken from the above mentioned Wasted Days LP, and he’s taken the laid back, half tempo origianl and given it a wicked jungle reworking.

In return Binga takes Breakage’s 2005 amen monster Staggered Dub and transforms it into a head nodding, chest rattling, dubby number with hints of the original amens sprinkled on for good measure in the way only he could pull off.

A wicked move from Critical Music then and something I’d like to see happen again.
