Pola & Bryson continue to impress us with the Things I Do EP

With the long-anticipated release of their brand new album “This Time Last Year” finally within view, liquid drum and bass producers Pola & Bryson have in addition managed to find the time to create another musically professional and charismatic record entitled “Things I Do EP“, this time for Spearhead Records.
The EP kicks off with the soothing title track, “Things I Do“. Featuring stunning, jazzy piano chords, a charming vocal sample, and a particularly infectious bobbing bassline, this is probably my favourite track on the EP. Up next, “So Free“, along with skittering drums and jittering bleeps, introduces a mighty horn riff, creating a sense of epic euphoria. “My Detention” meanwhile is a tremendous piece of electronic music, incorporating colossal vocals from Tayah Ettienne, heavier drums and bulky synths – a great stomper more than capable of bringing energy to the dancefloor. The record finishes with a far darker version of “Things I Do“, courtesy of up-and-coming young talent in drum and bass, Ownglow, with pitched down vocals, deep sub bass, and light bongos brought in for good measure.
Having been ones-to-watch for some time now, I can safely say that this release confirms just why we love Pola & Bryson so much. If this is what we can expect from their forthcoming album, I would say it’d be more than wise to go out and get it!
