Current Value – Biocellulose LP (Critical Music)

Posted by Adam on 14th April 2016

German producer Current Value has been banging out some of the hardest tunes in Drum & Bass for almost 20 years now and since his debut on Critical at the start of 2015 he’s risen in popularity exponentially, not only releasing on Critical but on on labels like Bad Taste and Blackout too.

As you’d expect from someone who’s been around for so long CV has a lot of music in his back catalogue. A lot. According to discogs this will be his tenth album, following his 2013 LP Stay On This Planet on Subsistenz so can you stay fresh and interesting after releasing that much music?

The simple answer is…yes! Whilst he has been around for a long time if you listen through his back catalogue (you know, if you have a few days spare) this new album is more ferocious and in your face than ever yet the production is tighter and punchier than anything else he’s released.

It’s controlled chaos. It’s organised mayhem. But above all it’s gritty, exciting and full of energy. Do yourself a favour and add this to your collection.
