Karma Talks About Signing Exclusively To Shogun And His Brand New Single

Posted by Adam on 3rd October 2015

Hi Lloyd! Congrats on Signing to Shogun – you must be feeling pretty good right now!
Hi Adam, it feels great. It’s been a long time coming and I’m very happy to be affiliated with such a strong label.
We last spoke this time last year – what have you been up to since then and how did you end up signing with Shogun?
Since then I’ve been working on lots of new material, collaborating with a couple of different vocalists and generally trying to keep myself busy.

You’ve literally just released 2 tracks on the Point Of Origin LP – tell us a bit about those tracks, there’s a big contrast in styles between the 2.
I was really glad that both of these tracks were used. I think they contrast with each other quite well and it’s nice listening back to them after having a rest from them. Especially listening to ‘Saturation Point’ on vinyl.

So, the audio for your first single with Shogun has been unleashed and I’m loving it. How long have you had to sit on this before you could share it with the world?
Thanks mate, It wasn’t too bad. I’m always making slight amendments to tunes, so I’m busy working on them right up to the last minute. So it didn’t seem like I was waiting on the tune that long.

You’re back working with Emmy J Mac on vocals again, it seems like this is a partnership that really works for you 2. Do you find it easy to work together now you’ve been doing it for a while?
She’s really chilled out and up for trying anything. She’s very easy to work with and I hope to have some new music featuring her in the future.

So what can we expect from you now you’re a fully-fledged part of the Shogun family? Have you got gigs lined up?
I’ve got lots of ideas and new material I’m currently working on, I have a few gigs in the pipeline which I will keep you informed of via facebook and twitter etc..

Here’s a tricky one – give us your top 5 Shogun tunes…of all time 
