Critical Presents: Systems 002 – Fre4knc

Posted by Adam on 11th October 2015

Dutch producer Fre4knc needs very little introduction as most of you will be familiar with him from releases on labels like Samurai Music and Dispatch Recordings and he can now add Critical Music to that list.

His deubt on Kasra’s highly respected imprint is the 2nd release for Critical’s sister imprint Systems which hasn’t seen the light of day since the first Systems release in 2014 from Halogenix.

“I love the idea of a series of releases, a chain made up of musical links released over a period of time then brought to a close. With Modulations I always meant for it to be like this, music that stands tall on its own but also as part of the Critical family. Systems is the next phase in this series.” – Kasra

Despite the almost 18 month gap between Systems releases it’s more than been worth the wait as Fre4knc delivers an incredibly strong release that features some of the cleanest and crispest production around at the minute. Peronal highlights for me are Rotor and Fender Bender but really the whole thing is wicked – well worth bagging.

The EP is out right now and you can it on digital and very limited green marbled vinyl on the Critical website.

1. The Misery ft. Mongoose
2. Rotor
3. Fender Bender
4. Rocket Science (Digital Exclusive)
5. Rebus (Digital Exclusive)
